Douglas E. Dent: President
If you don`t mind using first names, Mr. Dent will be pleased if you call him "Doug". Clients want a lawyer they can trust -- and Doug believes that, here in the slightly wild West, first names are part of a relationship of trust. Doug is proud to call himself a general practitioner and has more than 35 years experience as a lawyer. He can help you with family law, wills and estates, real estate law, business law and court matters. He speaks and writes English and French fluently. When time permits, he gives back to the community by participating in several of the non-profit organizations which enhance life in the South Cariboo. Lisa De Paoli: Vice President
Lisa was the Executive Director of the Cariboo Family Enrichment Centre (CFEC) since September 2010. Her role included strategic planning, community collaboration, financial management human resources, quality improvement, risk management and the day to day operation of the Centre.
She led the opening of the CFEC Child Care Centre (49 licensed spaces) and the South Cariboo Early Years Centre, the "Involve Our Youth Meaningful Youth Engagement" in the South Cariboo, Community Action Initiative Grant of $200,000,, Chamber of Commerce award 2011 - CFEC Non-Profit organization of the year and a third 4-year Council of Accreditation award and is the Chair of the South Cariboo Food Security Committee.
Lisa is a seasoned leader with a significant record of achievement in the areas of Strategic Management, Transformational Leadership, Organizational Development and Continuous Quality Improvement within leading public and private sector organizations. She focused on advancing the organization's strategic health care delivery and success by applying her unique leadership and management skills and expertise.
Lisa is currently semi retired and working as a substitute teacher for SD 27.

Maddi Newman: Secretary/Treasurer
Originally from Manitoba and Alberta, Maddi Newman moved to British Columbia in 1992, after living in South Africa for seven years. She settled in 100 Mile House with husband Jeffrey, doing secretarial, administrative and legal work. She is skilled with computers and software, and ran a graphic design business for many years. After 2 years with BCIT she received a diploma for Advanced Web Technologies, so was able to include web design with her business. Her husband was also a web designer so Maddi took over his business when he retired. She worked at the Employment Centre for 11 years, in particular assisting and facilitation of older workers wishing or needing to return to the workplace. She has served on the Self Employment Selection Committee for Community Futures, the Chamber of Commerce board, and boards of a few other community organizations. Maddi's interests include social justice, food security, ethical treatment of animals, and egalitarian societies/countries.
Laura Dewar: Director
Laura moved down from the Northwest Territories to the 100 Mile area in 1990 to teach computer and biology courses for Cariboo College (now Thompson Rivers University). She retired as a Community Coroner for the South Cariboo for 24 years in 2015 and more recently, a Community Wellness Manager for the 100 Mile House region up until the end of 2019. She also volunteers her time as a Coordinator for the South Cariboo P.A.R.T.Y. Program (PARTY stands for Preventing Alcohol and Risk-related Trauma in Youth), the South Cariboo Crisis Intervention Response Team (SCCIRT) and various local activities around the Green Lake/70 Mile area including the annual Watch Lake/Green Lake gymkhanas. Her hobbies including hand-spinning homegrown wool and other natural fibres, knitting, horseback riding, fishing, snowshoeing and geocaching.
Martina Dopf: Director
Martina immigrated to Canada in 2003 and has made her home at Canim Lake with her husband. She has been employed with the 100 Mile Free Press since 2005 and has accepted the publisher role in 2016 and group publisher for the 100 Mile Free Press, Clearwater Times, Barriere Star/Journal and Ashcroft Cache Creek Journal in 2018. She has been deeply connected to the community through her role with the newspaper as well as a director for the South Cariboo Chamber of Commerce since 2019.
Bruce Madu
Bruce moved to 100 Mile House in 2009. He had been involved with the Kinsmen Clubs of Canada for over 40 years volunteering wherever the need was. In order to meet new people in the area he and his wife Sandy started volunteering with the 100 Mile Performing Arts. That led to volunteering for many more organizations some of which are the Festival of Arts, Arts Council, Red Cross, South Cariboo Health Foundation (Starry Nights), South Cariboo Community Enhancement Foundation, 100 Mile Wranglers hockey team to name a few. In his spare time he likes to carve and garden where he provides extra vegetables to his 80’s ladies.
Barb Brown: Director
Presently Barb is involved in the Arts, through her volunteer position as the Gallery Director, responsible for the changing shows at Parkside Art Gallery. She has held that position for the past 10 yrs. and has been a member of the board for most of that time.
With a keen interest and love of the land she spent several years involved in land use planning, on a local level and regionally, with the Commission on Resources and Environment. Barb has also served provincially as a board member for The Habitant Conservation Fund.
Barb has lived in the Canim Valley for the past 30 yrs. with her husband Dennis. They manage their woodlot and hay fields, tend to a large garden, and in the winter you can find them out on the ice, fishing.
